| abstract |
A transdermal therapeutic system (TTS) with fentanyl and/or a salt of a fentanyl analog derivative as an active ingredient is described. The active substance is contained in fluid-filled micro-reservoirs in the layer containing the active ingredient in order to prevent an inadvertent overdose by uncontrolled release of the active ingredient as a result of damage. A membrane layer following on the skin side is composed of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or of a micro-porous film based on polyethylene or polypropylene. Where appropriate there is a subsequent adhesive layer, and finally a protective layer, which is removed before use. |
