abstract |
Described is a nucleic acid molecule comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding or complementary to a sequence that encodes a Bcl-2 modifying factor comprising an amino acid sequence substantially as set forth in SEQ ID NO:2 or SEQ ID NO:4 or an amino acid sequence having at least 90% or greater similarity to one or more of SEQ ID NO:2 or SEQ ID NO:4 and which is a functional derivative or homolog of Bcl-2 modifying factor. Also described are the isolated Bcl-2 modifying factor protein, variants of the nucleic acid molecule or Bcl-2 modifying factor polypeptide, antibodies, pharmaceutical compositions, genetically modified non-human animal containing one or both alleles of Bcl-2 modifying factor and methods of producing this genetically modified animal. |
