titleOfInvention Coating with a higher reflection than normal colours in the ultraviolet and near infrared range for negligible solar absorption
abstract A coating having a negligible solar absorption is disclosed, which comprises: (a) a binding agent with a transparency greater than 60% in the wavelength range of 300 to 2500 nm of ultraviolet and visible light and in the near infrared wavelength range, which have a transparency of less than 70% and in the thermal infrared range of 5 to 50 mm; (b) first pigments which have a transparency of greater than 70% in the wavelength range of 300 to 2500 nm, which have a particle size having a backscattering of greater than 70% in the near infrared wavelength range of 700 to 1500 nm, and which have a absorption of greater than 40% in the thermal infrared range of 5 to 50 mm; (c) second pigments which absorb spectral-selectivity in the visible light wavelength range of 400 to 700 nm, and/or absorb more than 50% in the entire visible light range of 400 to 700 nm, which have a transparency of greater than 50% in the near infrared spectral range of 700 to 1500 nm, and have a absorption of greater than 40% in the thermal infrared range of 5 to 50 mm; (d) and/or third pigments which absorb spectral-selectivity in the spectral range of visible light wavelength range of 400 to 700 nm, and/or absorb more than 50% in the entire visible light range of 400 to 700 nm, and which are reflective themselves in the near infrared spectral range with a reflection of greater than 50% and have a absorption of greater than 40% in the thermal infrared range of 5 to 50 mm; (e) fillers for reducing the reflective index of the binding agent matrix consisting of hollow microspheres filled with a gas or air and/or air pockets in the binding agent, the particles and/or air pocket size of which have a backscattering of less than 70% in the visible light range of 400 to 700 nm, the backscattering of the first pigment increases by 10% in the near infrared wavelength range of 700 to 1500 nm, and which have a absorption of greater than 40% in the thermal infrared range of 5 to 50 mm.
