abstract |
A method of treating a ras-mediated proliferative disorder in a non-human mammal, comprising the steps of: a) Performing a step selected from the group consisting of: i. Removing B-cells or T cells from said mammal; ii. Removing anti-reovirus antibodies from said mammal; iii. Removing antibodies from said mammal; iv. Administering anti-antireovirus antibodies to said mammal; and v. Suppressing the immune system of said mammal by radiation b) Administering to the proliferating cells in said mammal an effective amount of one or more reoviruses under conditions which result in substantial lysis of the proliferating cells The use of at least one reovirus with at least one of an immune suppressive agent and an anti-antireovirus antibody in the preparation of a medicament for treating a ras-mediated proliferative disorder in a mammal is also described. A pharmaceutical composition comprising an immune suppressive agent, a reovirus and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient is also disclosed. |
