An oxazolidinone thioamide derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof has the formula (I) wherein: R1 is H, NH2, NH-alkyl, alkenyl, O-alkyl, S-alkyl, (CH2)n- cycloalkyl or optionally substituted alkyl; R2 and R3 are independently H, F, Cl or alkyl; R4 is -C(=O)-CH2-S(O)n-CH3, -C(=S)-alkyl, -C(=O)-(CH2)m- C(=O)-CH3, -C(=O)-CH2-O-R10 or CN; R10 is -CO2-(CH2)2-OCH3, or -C(=O)-NH-alkyl; n is 0 to 2 and m is 0 or 1. The compounds are useful for treating microbial infections. |
