abstract |
The present invention provides means and methods for obtaining an antibody in a mammary secretion product of a farm-animal comprising hyperimmunising said animal for the antigen via a mucosal passage of the farm animal, administering the antigen to a mammary gland and/or a supramammary lymph node of the farm animal and harvesting the milk of the farm animal. Particular antigens of interest include Toxins A and/or B of Clostridium difficile, and the antibody may be produced at a level of 200% of the average quantity present in the colostrum of the farm animal. |
