titleOfInvention Method for preparing polycation based bioconjugates suitable for transporting different kinds of active substances within the body
abstract A polycation bioconjugate contains isopolypeptide polycation carrier molecules having free a-amino groups and at least one enhancer molecules and/or enhancer molecules with connecting molecules. The polycation bioconjugate has the formula (I) wherein: r is a mean value between 20 and 400 that designates the number of diamino mono-carboxylic acyl group monomers; m is 0 to 20; M designates enhancer molecules and/or connecting molecules having appropriate functional groups for conjugation to the isopolypeptide polycation carrier molecule; x designates that the types of M enhancer molecules and/or connecting molecules within a particular polycation bioconjugate may be identical (x = 1) or of different (x > 1) kind and x can be 0 to 10 indicating the number of the various groups of the molecules conjugated to the carrier molecules; k designates enhancer molecules and/or connecting molecules linked by covalent (=k) bonds to carrier molecules; i enhancer molecules and/or connecting molecules linked by ionic (=i) bonds to carrier molecules. The enhancer molecules can be linked directly and/or indirectly through a [(k) Mx] connecting molecule to the carrier molecule provided that: when both [(k) Mx] and [(i) Mx] occur within the same polycation bioconjugate [(k) Mx] * [(i) Mx] is symbolized by [(k/i) Mx] and from among [(k) Mx] and [(i) Mx] the value of x at least in one of them is other than 0 within the same polycation bioconjugate.
