abstract Nontoxic cleaning agents with biocidal and dirt-removing properties for the conjoint use with a solvent and comprising at least a surface-active agent, characterized in that the nontoxic cleaning agent contains particles of bioactive glass, which, in an aqueous solution, forms a layer of hydroxyl apatite on its surface. Said cleaning agent containing such glass particles not only acts as a biocide against viruses and bacteria, but is also gentle to the skin and to fabrics, causes no allergic reactions and, moreover, is capable of eliminating difficult-to-remove dirt such as aged proteins.
