A compound or acid and base addition salts thereof has the formula (I) wherein: A and B are independently CR3 or N; X is C=O or (CR4aR4b)m; m is 1 or 2; Y is S(O)n-R1, S(O)n-NR2R2, S (O)n-OR2, C(O)R1, C(S)R1, C(O)OR1, C(O)-NR2R2; n is 1 or 2; N1 and N2 are nitrogen atoms; Q and R1 are independently optionally substituted alkyl, aralkyl, heteroaralkyl, carbocycloalkyl, heterocyclyl, alkenyl, aralkenyl, heteroaralkenyl, carbocycloalkenyl, heterocycloalkenyl, aryl, heteroaryl, carbocyclyl or heterocyclyl; each R2 is independently H, optionally substituted alkyl, C(O)R7 or C(NH)R7, or N1R2 and N2R2 are together form the group N1-CO-N2; R3 is H, alkyl, alkoxy, halogen or OH; R4a and R5 are independently H, optionally substituted alkyl, alkoxyalkyl, haloalkyl or aryl, alkyl-OR7, alkyl- NR7R8, alkyl-OC(O)R7, alkyl-C(O)OR7, alkyl-C(O)R7, OC(O)R7, C(O)OR7, C(O)R7 where the alkyl radicals can be substituted R4b is H, optionally substituted alkyl; R6 is H, alkyl alkyl-OR7, alkyl-NR7R8, haloalkyl, halo, cyano, OR7, SR7, NR7R8, C(O)OR7, C(O)R7 and OC(O)R7 and R7 and R8 are independently H or optionally substituted alkyl. The compounds are useful in treating TF/factor VIIa, factor Xa, thrombin or kallikrein mediated disorders or preventing thrombosis or treating abnormal thrombosis. |
