abstract A method of treating cereal kernels to decrease their mould content comprises exposing the kernels to heat at such a temperature and for such a period of time that the mould content of the kernels decreases but germinability remains whereby the temperature of the kernels is raised to 60 to 100oC for 0.5 to 30 seconds.
