Described is the use of troglitazone or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in the manufacture of a medicament having activity in enhancing glutathione reductase activity for the prevention or treatment of diseases resulting from a deficiency of reduced glutathione, provided that said diseases do not include diabetes, hyperglycemia and complications thereof. |
