A compound of formula (I), and its pharmaceutically acceptable salts, wherein A1 and A2 are each halogen; X is CO, S (O) 2 or S (O) - (CH 2) n wherein the S atom is directly attached to the phenyl group and n is 0, 1 or 2; and R 1 is 8- azabicyclo [3.2.1] octyl, quinuclidinyl, bicyclo [3.3.0] octyl, C 1-6 cycloalkyl, 2,3,5,6-tetrahydro-4 alkyl, optionally substituted with C1-4 alkyl, hydroxy, dioxaranyl or oxo. The new dihydropyridine compounds of this invention have excellent bradykinin antagonistically active, and are thus useful for treating medical conditions caused by bradykinin such as inflammation, cardiovascular disease, pain, common cold, allergies, asthma, pancreatic infarction, burns, in mammals, especially humans. |
