titleOfInvention 2-aryl-substituted pyridines
abstract There are disclosed 2-aryl-substituted pyridines of general formula (I) A a) wherein A and E are the same or different and represent an optionally substituted aryl having 6 to 10 carbon atoms, D represents optionally substituted straight chain or branched alkyl with up to 8 carbon atoms, L stands for cycoalkyl of 3 to 8 carbon atoms, or for optionally substituted straight or branched alkyl of up to 8 carbon atoms, T stands for a residue of the formula R3¿X- r5 r6 or r4- pyramids were prepared by reacting the pyridyl aldehyde with metallic organic compounds and then reducing selecnith. The 2-aryl-substituted pyridines are suitable as active substances in drugs, especially in drugs for the treatment of arteriosclerosis.
