titleOfInvention | 2- (4-Methoxyphenoxy) -3-pyridinamine, its preparation and use as an anti-inflammatory agent |
abstract | The product 3-amino-2- (4-methoxyphenoxy) pyridine and its pharmaceutically acceptable salts, in particular the hydrochloride, are new products which are prepared by catalytic hydrogenation of 2- (4-methoxyphenoxy) -3-nitropyridine, optionally in the presence of the acid which corresponds to the salt. Its pharmaceutical compositions containing sufficient amounts of suitable excipients for its topical administration have been found to be particularly therapeutically useful in the treatment of inflammatory skin diseases. The tests for dermatological effect using TPA-induced mouse ear edema and carrageenan-induced rat paw edema show that the product is much more active by topical route than ibuprofen and nimesulide, two known anti-inflammatory active compounds, the first of which is very well known and the second is structural. related. |
