abstract Substituted 3-amino-1-arylalkyl-benzazepln-2-ones of general formula (I) are described, wherein Ar is aryl; * stands for -O- or -S (O) n- and n means 0, 1 or 2; Xj represents q-C8 alkylene or represents a direct bond; RJ means hydrogen, lower alkyl, aryl-lower alkyl or acyl; R 2 represents lower alkyl, hydroxy lower alkyl, lower alkoxy lower alkyl, aryl lower alkoxy lower alkyl, aryl lower alkyl or C 3 -C 7 cycloalkyl lower alkyl; R3 means carboxy; lower alkoxycarbonyl; lower alkoxy-lower alkoxycarbonyl; aryl lower alkoxycarbonyl; aryloxycarbonyl; carbamoyl; carbamoyl, which is monosubstituted (1) with hydroxy, lower alkanesulfonyl, halogen lower alkanesulfonyl or arylsulfonyl, monosubstituted or independently lower substituted (il) with lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, lower alkynyl, phenyl lower alkyl or lower substituted (111) alkylene or lower alkylene-Z₂ lower alkylene, whereby ZA stands for O, S or KH; 6-tetrazolyl; PO 2 H 2: PO 2 or SO 2; rings A and A respectively. aromatic residues are independently unsubstituted or singly or multisubstituted with substituents selected from the group consisting of lower alkyl, aryl lower alkyl, lower alkoxy lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkoxy-lower alkoxy, aryl lower alkoxy, C3-C7 cycloalkyl, C3-C7 cycloalkyl-lower alkyl, nitro, halogen, trifluoromethyl, amino, amino which are mono- or independently lower-substituted lower alkyl, aryl lower alkyl or aryl or lower substituted lower alkylene, lower alkyleneoxy lower alkylene; or a salt thereof; processes for their preparation; their use as well as pharmaceutical preparations containing compounds of formula (I) or pharmaceutically usable salts thereof.
