abstract New compounds of general formula (I) as well as their pharmacologically acceptable addition salts with acids are described. In formula (I), R11 in either (1a) represents a hydrogen atom at the p-position, while R12 and R13 each represent a hydrogen atom, or (lb) R11 represents a hydrogen atom at the p-position, while R12 and R13 together represent a second bond, or (Ic) R 11 and R: 2 together represent a second bond, while R 13 represents a hydrogen atom, or (Id) R 11 represents a hydrogen atom in the α-position, while R 12 and R 13 together represent a second bond. In all cases (1a, 1b, Ic or Id), X represents an oxygen atom, the hydroxymino group> N ~ OH or two hydrogen atoms, R 1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R 2 represents a hydroxy group, a C 1 -C 2 alkoxy or C 1 -C 2 acyloxy group, while R 3 and R 1 have the usual meanings for competing pregesterone antagonists set forth in the specification. Also described are processes for the preparation of these novel compounds, pharmaceutical preparations containing these compounds, their use in the manufacture of drugs, and novel intermediates necessary for this process. These new compounds have strong affinity for the progestagen receptor, as well as strong antigenic, antiglucocorticoid, antimineral corticoid and antiandrogenic properties.
