titleOfInvention SYNTHESIS OF HOEY-SOLID MOISTURE-STRONG RESIN
abstract Improvement in a method of making a water-soluble epichlorohydrin resin includes reaction of epichlorohydrin with a polyaminoamide. The improvement includes the preparation of the polyaminoamide in the presence of an acid catalyst (low temperature condensation) followed by reaction with epichlorohydrin. An aqueous composition comprising a cationic, water-soluble, polyaminoamide-epilepyriolycline resin which the hair has a total solubility of at least 15% by weight. Layers of cellulose treated in the composition provide a paper product with improved moisture strength.
