abstract The use of a compound of formula (I) is described: wherein: R is phenyl which is optionally substituted by halogen, cyano, C_alkyl or C_haloalkyl; Rer hydrogen ,. C-alkyl or C-cycloalkyl; and R is a group having an NH or OH having a calculated or measured pKa value of 1.0 to 8.0; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of osteoarthritis or osteoarthritis. The benzenesulfonate salt of N- {3- [4- (3,4-dichlorophenoxy) piperidin-1-yl] -2-hydroxypropyl} -2,3-dihydro-2 -oxo-4- (trifluoromethyl) -5-thiazolecarboxamide, a process for its preparation and its use in therapy, for example in the treatment of CCR3 mediated disease states.
