A pharmaceutical, fast-dissolving oral dosage composition for inhibiting mammalian ovulation is disclosed and wherein the preparation comprises drospirenone or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or ester thereof, optionally ethinyl oestradiol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, ester or ether thereof, and a surfactant thereof, a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, wherein the drospirenone has a surface area of less than 10,000 cm 2 / g. |
