Controlled release sterile injectable aripiprazole formulation, formed from aripiprazole of a desired average particle size and vehicle, is provided which, upon conditioning with water and intramuscular injection, releases aripiprazole for a period of at least about one week and up to about eight. weeks. There is also provided a process for preparing the controlled-release aripiprazole controlled-release formulation, and a method for treating schizophrenia using the formulation. |
