titleOfInvention Biocatalytic preparation of enantiomerically enriched aminopentannitrile.
abstract Process for preparing enantiomerically enriched aminopentanitriles is provided. The methods involve selective acylation of an enantiomeric mixture of 3-aminopentannitrile or selective hydrolysis of an enantiomeric mixture of 3-aminopentannitrilamide in the presence of an enzyme selected from the group comprising lipase, esterase and acylase. The processes provide R-aminopentannitrile which can be used to prepare pharmaceutical products
