The use of polysaccharides or polysaccharide derivatives as components for building material mixtures is described, in which the polysaccharides or polysaccharide derivatives can be obtained by. a) dissolving or swelling the polysaccharide or polysaccharide derivative in 50 to 80% by weight of water, relative to the total weight, ib) transferring the water from the swollen or dissolved polysaccharide or polysaccharide derivative to the vapor phase and simultaneously transferring the swollen polysaccharide or polysaccharide of the dissolved or swollen polysaccharide or polysaccharide derivative in a high-speed gas stream impact mill, whereby the water is expelled from the polysaccharide or polysaccharide derivative by means of the gas stream of an overheated water vapor / inert gas mixture or water vapor with water vapor 99% by weight, relative to the water vapor / inert gas mixture or the water vapor / liquid mixture, c) separating the solid particles of the polysaccharide or polysaccharide derivative from gas stream and optionally drying the polysaccharide derivative. |
