titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR DETERMINING ANTIGENS USING THREE MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES. |
abstract | Determn. of antigen by an immunochemical reaction in which it enters into a bond with at least 2 different types of monclonal antibodies directed against it is new. Test kit consists of (1) one monoclonal antibody or different types of monoclonal antibodies directed against the same antigen and marked with a label; (2) one monoclonal antibody (different from (1)) or different types of monoclonal antibodies directed against the same antigen and either rendered insoluble or marked with a label; (3) together with suitable reagents. The monoclonal antibodies may be coated on to particles. The procedure is esp. useful for the screening of samples for the presence of different antigens, and reliable, sensitive and specific results may be achieved. With a monoclonal antibody, reactions in test methods are frequently different from the reactions with classical antibodies, but this problem is avoided when a bond is formed with the two antibodies. |
