titleOfInvention METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN ADSORBING DEVICE IN A CONTAINER, APPARATUS TO BE USED AND METHOD FOR ADDRESSING SUBSTANCES TO A FILM
abstract The process is intended for producing an adsorbent element in a cartridge with inlet and outlet for a fluid (e.g. blood). The element consists of a carrier strip, a film-forming material, and an adsorption agent, and is introduced into the cartridge (by winding on core). The adsorbent-contg. film is produced in two immediately successive stages whereby, during the first stage, the material with the agent are applied (as suspension) to the carrier and film formation is initiated by drying. In the second stage, solvent still present is removed by passing the carrier through a aqueous solution and rinsing with a liquid consisting mainly of water after which the treated carrier is introduced into the cartridge whilst still immersed and the cartridge is stored thus immersed.
