titleOfInvention METHOD FOR IMMOBILIZING MICROBECELLS WITH GLUCOSEISOMERASE ACTIVITY.
abstract Immobilisation of microbial cells having glucose isomerase activity is effected by reaction with glutaraldehyde (I) in the presence of blood serum or plasma. The serum or plasma can be used in fresh liq. form or in powdered, freeze-dried or frozen form. The ratio of the wt. of the cells to the vol. of serum or plasma is pref. 1:1 to 1:10 (sic.), The immobilised cells are useful for continuous prodn. of high-fructose syrups from glucose syrups. They are stated to have good stability and high activity.
