titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FOAM CONCRETE. |
abstract | Foamed concrete articles are made by mixing the concrete with an aq. foam contg. one or more agents for modifying the properties of the concrete, casting the mixt. into a mould and allowing it to set. The aq. foam is made e.g. by blowing air into an aq. soln. of a foaming agent and one or more agents for modifying the properties of the concrete, e.g. a setting accelerator such as triethanolamine, or a PVAc emulsion. Pref. the aq. foam has a density of 0.05-0.10 kg/l and 200-1000 l, esp. 500-800 l of the foam are used per m3 concrete. The prod. pref. has a density of 300-2000 (1000-1800)kg.m3. The air bubbles in the foam are rapidly coated with the concrete mix, so that the modifying agent works rapidly to give the desired effect. |
