titleOfInvention METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FOAM CONCRETE.
abstract Foamed concrete articles are made by mixing the concrete with an aq. foam contg. one or more agents for modifying the properties of the concrete, casting the mixt. into a mould and allowing it to set. The aq. foam is made e.g. by blowing air into an aq. soln. of a foaming agent and one or more agents for modifying the properties of the concrete, e.g. a setting accelerator such as triethanolamine, or a PVAc emulsion. Pref. the aq. foam has a density of 0.05-0.10 kg/l and 200-1000 l, esp. 500-800 l of the foam are used per m3 concrete. The prod. pref. has a density of 300-2000 (1000-1800)kg.m3. The air bubbles in the foam are rapidly coated with the concrete mix, so that the modifying agent works rapidly to give the desired effect.
