abstract | Herbicidal compsn. comprises (A) a triazine herbicide and (B) an N-benzenesulphonyl carbamate antagonist of formula (I). In (I) X1-X5 are H, halogen or lower alkyl, provided that when X3 is lower alkyl, X1 and X5 are not both H; R is lower alkyl, alkenyl or alkenyl or an alkyl or alkenyl gp. substd. by 1-5 halogen atoms. Alternatively (A) and (B) may be applied separately (in either order) to protect crops. (I) protect culture plants (e.g. cotton or soya beans) against damage caused by (A) without reducing the effect of (A) on weeds. |
