titleOfInvention Removing impurities from gaseous mixtures
abstract An absorbent liquid is circulated through an absorption stage operating under pressure. The liquid is brought into direct and intimate contact with the gaseous mixture to remove impurities. The process includes a regeneration stage operating at a pressure considerably below that of the absorption stage. The liquid is regenerated by expelling or convertin the impurities previously absorbed. The spent liquid extracted from the absorption stage is fed into an ejector where it expands and causes a pressure drop used to remove gaseous impurities previously absorbed.
