In post-emergence tests against Chenopodium album, the herbicidal rating was 70% for 8 g/ha of 1-(4-methoxycarbonyl-2-methyl-thienyl-3-yl-sulfonylaminocarbonyl)-3-methoxy-4-methyl-5-oxo-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazole (Ia), 80% for 250 g/ha of bromoxynil (B') and 100% (compared with a predicted value of 94%) for a combination of 8 g/ha of (Ia) and 250 g/ha of (B').
