abstract The present disclosure provides a wide and narrow row alternating cultivation method for soybean in arid areas, which relates to the technical field of plant cultivation. The method includes the steps of soil preparation and fertilization, ridging before sowing, seed treatment, sowing, field management and harvesting. The application of plant growth regulators during field management cooperated with other measures to coordinate the relationship between vegetative growth and reproductive growth, and control the growth and development period of soybeans, so that the yield of soybean is increased by above 15%, and ridge sealing time is advanced by 3-4 days.
