titleOfInvention | Method for at least partial phosphate removal from process water as well as a method for recovering a phosphate-containing compound from process water |
abstract | In a process water phosphate removal process, phosphate ions in an aqueous solution are subjected to a precipitate reaction. The phosphate-containing precipitate thus formed and a process water flow are separated from each other. For the precipitation reaction, a reaction with calcium ions is used to form hydroxyapatite (Ca5 (PO4) 3OH, Ca10 (PO4) 60H2) as a phosphate-containing precipitate. The process water flow is separated from the precipitate by means of cross-flow ultrafiltration in a continuous flow-through process. |
