abstract | The present invention relates to a method for pyrolysing biomass and the products obtained therefrom. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of: i) providing biomass to a reactor, ii) Heating the biomass in the reactor under pyrolysis conditions to provide a first fluid and biochar product, iii) Condensing part of the first fluid from the reactor by subjecting it to centrifugal forces and cooling means to provide at least a second fluid, iv) Cleaning the remaining non-condensed first fluid part to provide a pyrolysis gas product. In another aspect the present invention relates to a biochar, a bio-oil, a pyroligneous acid and a pyrolysis gas and to the uses thereof. |
