abstract |
Bactericide for treating water comprises inorganic acid, corrosion retarding agent, or 8C or less carboxylic acid or alkali metal salt. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a method of treating water using separation membranes by adding the bactericide in water to be treated; (2) a similar method wherein inorganic acid is added such that the pH is 4 or less, and corrosion retarding agent is added; (3) a similar method wherein the residual living bacteria is 30% or less after adding the inorganic acid and corrosion retarding agent, and the addition of inorganic acid results in the residual living bacteria 15% once out of 20-1,000 times; and (4) a water treating apparatus. |
