The first set of electrodes comprises at least two electrode plates (91, 9n-1) and the second set of electrodes comprises at least two further electrode plates (81, 8), the two sets of plates being arranged alternately and parallel to each other. A high voltage source is connected to each electrode in the first set. A pulsed sterilization device (1) for a liquid product comprises an inlet opening (1), an outlet opening (2), two electrodes located between the inlet and outlet openings, and a high voltage source used to deliver high voltage pulses to the electrodes as the product is passed between them. The first set of electrodes comprises at least two electrode plates and the second set of electrodes comprises at least two further electrode plates, the two sets of plates being arranged alternately and parallel to each other. A high voltage source is connected to each electrode in the first set. An Independent claim is also included for a flow chamber used in the sterilization device, the two sets of electrodes being secured at right angles to two cover plates. |
