abstract | The present invention provides an ethanolic extract of C. vespertilionis comprises at least two phytoconstituents. The at least two phytoconstituents are stigmasterol and lupeol. An effective dose of the extract is up to 2000 mg/kg. A method of synthesizing an ethanolic extract of C. vespertilionis comprises macerating a predetermined amount of dried parts of C. vespertilionis in ethanol under occasional stirring for a predetermined time (101). The mixture is filtered. The residue is re-extracted for at least one time (103). Ethanol is removed (104). The filtrate is frozen at -80?C (105) and lyophilized by freeze drying (106). The method comprising administering an effective dose of an ethanolic extract of C. vespertilionis in a patient, wherein the effective dose is up to 2000 mg/kg. The cancer is breast cancer and lung cancer. |
