THE INVENTION RELATES TO A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING AEROSOLS FOR ADMINISTRATION OF PROTEINS AND OTHER BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE MACROMOLECULES AS ACTIVE INGREDIENTS BY INHALATION, AS WELL AS QUEOUS PREPARATIONS FOR PRODUCING SUCH AEROSOLS. IN PARTICULAR THE INVENTION RELATES TO A PROPELLANTFREE NEBULIZER COMPRISING SUCH A PHARMACEUTICAL AEROSOL-COMPOSITION IN THE FORM OF A SOLUTION WITH WATER OR A WATER-ETHANOL-MIXTURE AS SOLVENT. THE ACTIVE INGREDIENTS PREFERABLY ARE SELECTED FROM THE GROUP OF: ANTISENSE OLIGONUCLEOTIDES, OREXINS, ERYTHROPOIETIN, TUMOR NECROSIS FACTOR-ALPHA, TUMOR NECROSIS FACTOR-BETA, GM-CSF (GRANULOCYTE-MACROPHAGE COLONY STIMULATING FACTOR), ANNEXINS, CALCITONIN,LEPTONS, PARATHYRIN, PARATHYRIN FRAGMENT, INTERLEUKINS SUCH AS INTERLEUKIN 2, INTERLEUKIN 10,INTERLEUKIN 12, INSULIN, SUPEROXIDE DISMUTASE, AN INTERFERON, SOLUBLE ICAM (INTERCELLULAR ADHESION MOLECULE), SOMATOSTATIN, SOMATOTROPIN, TPA (TISSUE PLASMINOGEN ACTIVATOR), TNK-TPA, TUMOURASSOCIATED ANTIGENS (AS PEPTIDE, PROTEIN OR AS DNA), PEPTIDE BRADYKININ ANTAGONISTS, URODILATIN,GHRH (GROWTH HORMONE RELEASING HORMONE), CRF (CORTICOTROPIN RELEASING FACTOR) EMAP II,HEPARIN, SOLUBLE INTERLEUKIN RECEPTORS SUCH AS SIL-L RECEPTOR, VACCINES SUCH AS HEPATITIS VACCINE OR MEASLES VACCINE, ANTISENSE, OLYNUCLEOTIDES, TRANSCRIPTION FACTORS. THE CONCENTRATION OF THE ACTIVE SUBSTANCE IS BETWEEN 3 MG/ML AND 150 MG/ML, PREFERABLY BETWEEN 25 AND 100 MG/ML. |
