titleOfInvention METHOD AND SYSTEM TO OPTIMIZE A FUEL FILL PAUSE PROGRAM.
abstract A method (300) is provided to optimize the nuclear reactor fuel fill pause program using a computer system (110) coupled to a database (120). The method includes, in one embodiment, entering (302) into the computer system data in relation to a current state of a nuclear reactor, the reactor data including information in relation to current tool data, procedures, and financial data; storing (304) reactor data in the database; and entering (306) into the computer system a proposed fuel fill pause program profile, the pause program profile including critical path tasks and an estimated duration for each of the critical path tasks. The method also includes generating (208) a gap analysis by comparing the proposed fuel fill pause program profile with a predetermined fuel filling pause program profile, wherein the predetermined program profile represents an optimal program; and determine (310) the critical trajectory tasks when the duration of the task results in an optimized fuel fill pause program profile using the gap analysis.
