FILTERS THAT HAVE IMPROVED CAPABILITIES OF PERMEABILITY AND ELIMINATION OF VIRUSES. |
abstract |
A filter block is provided that has a permeability greater than about 3.0 * 10-9cm2, and an F-VLR greater than about 99%. The filter block may be made of filter particles that have an average particle size of less than about 50 micrometers and that have a particle range of about 1.4 or less. The filter blocks of the present invention can be used to manufacture a filter to filter liquids and, more specifically, to provide drinking water. The filter particles can be mesoporous. Cases that include filters and information related to the extermination or elimination of bacteria, viruses and microbes are also provided. |
