abstract |
A process for preparing a composition comprising dried microorganisms is described, which comprises cultivating one or more species of a microorganism; mix the cultured microorganism with one or more vehicles; treat the microorganism; mix the cultured microorganism with one or more vehicles; treat the microorganism with pulsed electromagnetic fields; incubate the culture mixture: vehicle for at least about 6 hours; and drying the microorganism to reduce the moisture level to between about 1% to about 6% by weight; The combination of the mixed microorganism cultured with one or more vehicles and the treatment of the microorganisms in the composition, has significantly improved initial survival and / or shelf life. |
