This invention also relates to a method for treating or inhibiting the growth of cancer tumor cells and associated diseases in a mammal and also provides a method for the treatment or prevention of cancerous tumors that express resistance to multiple drugs (MDR) or are resistant. due to MDR, in a mammal in need of the same method which comprises administering the mammal an effective amount of the compounds or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method of treatment or inhibition of the growth of cancer tumor cells and associated diseases in a mammal in need thereof by promoting microtubule polymerization comprising administering to the mammal an effective amount of the compounds and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
