ANTIMICROBIAL, SYNERGIC, OPHTHALMIC AND DERMATOLOGICAL PREPARATIONS CONTAINING CHLORITE AND HYDROGEN PEROXIDE. |
abstract |
An antimicrobial composition is described to provide a therapeutic application on a living being. The composition includes from about 0.001% by weight to about 0.20% by weight of the chlorite compound and from about 0.001% by weight to about 0.05% by weight of the peroxide compound. The antimicrobial composition of the present invention is composed to remain intact without being degraded to generate chlorine dioxide during storage at approximately room temperature. The antimicrobial composition of the present invention is in a pH range between about 6.0 and about 8.8. |
