abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for improving functional recovery followed by a lesion of contusion in the central nervous system. The method includes administering a therapeutically effective amount of glycosaminoglycan degradation enzyme. The glycosaminoglycan degradation enzyme may be degradation enzymes of dermatan sulfate or chondroitin sulfate. Contusion injury to the central nervous system may include a traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury. Functional recovery may include autonomous functions, sensory functions, motor functions or the like. |
