abstract |
A process is provided to inhibit or limit the decomposition of oligomerization catalyst systems containing halides, during the recovery of an oligomerization product. The process includes the deactivation of an oligomerization catalyst system present in an effluent stream of the olefin oligomerization reactor by contact with an alcohol under conditions that minimize the potential for decomposition of the deactivated catalyst system. Such conditions include minimization of the water content of the deactivating agent and the concentration of the deactivating agent. |
