abstract | The present invention is directed to sanitizing compositions or preparations, composed of a combination of a volatile biocide, based on alcohol, and a non-volatile antimicrobial agent, in low additional concentration. In one embodiment of the present invention, the sanitizing preparation consists of a composition or preparation composed of at least (1) a biocide consisting of a volatile alcohol, in a concentration from greater than or equal to 30% to less than or equal to 70% w / w; and (2) one or more non-volatile antimicrobial agents that are soluble in alcohol, in a concentration from greater than or equal to 0.001% to less than or equal to 0.1% w / w. |
