abstract | A monitoring system and method for wireless health care are provided. At least one ultra-wideband biosensor transmitter is assigned to at least one individual who is to be monitored remotely. The biosensor transmitter includes a biosensor placed to detect a user's health condition and generate a corresponding biosensor reading. The reading is converted by the biosensor transmitter to an ultra-wide band (UWB) biosensor signal transmitted by the biosensor transmitter. An ultra-wideband receiver placed remotely from and within a range of the transmitters receives and converts the ultra-wideband biosensor signal into a signal that contains biosensor reading information. A processor in communication with the ultra-wideband receiver processes and displays the converted signal as an output that can be read indicating a user's health condition detected by the biosensor. |
