abstract An appropriate band is provided in a pulp washing machine and a method of producing it. The band is produced from a multilayer high density woven fabric, which is preferably made using an eight-sheave weave pattern. The fabric provides a high support to the fiber by means of a high warp density / long weft float as long as high drainage / resistance to sealing is achieved through an increased empty volume.
