titleOfInvention | COMPOSITE MEMBRANES FOR PROTONIC DRIVING AND ITS OBTAINING PROCEDURE. |
abstract | The present invention relates to the manufacture and application of composite membranes for proton conduction based chitosan and ceramic materials; and its application in fuel cells in any process that requires proton transport through membranes. The preparation of these membranes can be carried out in acidic media (except sulfuric acid and preferably in acetic acid). The dispersion of the solid materials in the polymer solution can be carried out using conventional methods of mechanical agitation or using unconventional methods such as microwave irradiation or ultra sound as sources that facilitate, accelerate and increase the homogeneity of the dispersion. The application of said membranes is focused, but not exclusively, on the use of proton conduction membranes in fuel cells. |
