titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR CONSOLIDATING FORMATIONS OR TO FORM CHEMICAL COATING OR BOTH WHILE BARRING. |
abstract | Methods are provided to consolidate formations or to form a chemical tubing or both while drilling. A method of the invention comprises drilling a borehole with a drilling fluid consisting of water, a polymeric cationic catalyst that is adsorbed in weak areas or formations, formed by clays, shales, sandstone and similar unbound, a soluble or dispersible polymer in water that is intertwined with a thermoforming resin and causing the resin to be hard and resistant when cured, a solid, curable, particulate thermofragment resin, a water soluble thermofragment resin, and an acidic, dispersible, action catalyst delayed, to cure solid and water soluble resins. The drilling fluid forms a filter cake on the perforation walls that cures and consolidates the weak, unconsolidated areas or formations penetrated by the mucus perforation such that detachment is avoided and an interlocking, hard and resistant chemical tubing is formed. , on the perforation walls. |
