Methods and compositions for the treatment of hyperlipidemia and conditions associated therewith are described, such as CHD, ischemic attack, restenosis after angioplasty, peripheral vascular disease, intermittent claudication, myocardial infarction (eg, necrosis and apoptosis), dyslipidemia and postprandial lipemia. The methods include the administration of a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of the formula (I), wherein: R is substituted adamantyl; and N is 0 to 3; in free form or in the form of acid addition salt, and a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle (see formula I). |
