A volatile organic compound or other materials are produced in the thermoplastic preparation of beverage, polyester, thermoplastic containers. Such materials can be levigated in beverages such as carbonated, effervescent drinks or even water, from polyester. Such thermoplastic polyester resins can be made of a material that can prevent the formation of, or react with, and absorb volatile by-products during the formation of thermoplastic preforms or containers from the granule or small thermoplastic fragment. Furthermore, as the preform is blown in a polyester container, the active materials of the invention prevent the generation of volatile, undesirable, additional materials. Finally, the cleaning material can act as a barrier that prevents the transport of materials from the outside of the container to the contents of the container. |
